Who controls your information
Ridgeon Consultancy Limited (company no. 15297018), registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE, is the controller of personal information handled through this website. Contact mark@ridgeon.me about this notice or how your information is used.
Information you provide
The enquiry forms collect the information you enter: your name, email address, optional company or context, current stage and timing, and your description of what you are trying to build or fix.
AI concierge
The Ridgeon Consultancy concierge is an AI assistant, not Mark. Messages are sent to a Cloudflare Pages Function and processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to produce a response grounded in the published information on this website. Do not include confidential, sensitive, or regulated information in the chat.
The conversation is held temporarily in your browser’s session storage so it can continue if you move between pages in the same tab. Chat context is not emailed to Mark unless you review and submit it through an enquiry form. The concierge does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
How and why it is used
Chat messages are used to answer your questions and help identify a potentially relevant service. Information you submit as an enquiry is used to assess and respond to that enquiry, continue a conversation you request, and maintain necessary business correspondence.
When you ask us to discuss, scope or prepare work, we process information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, where applicable. Otherwise, we rely on legitimate interests in assessing and responding to business enquiries, providing the requested concierge, preventing abuse, and maintaining necessary correspondence. We limit that use to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
Service providers and international processing
We use Cloudflare for hosting, Pages Functions, Workers AI, Web Analytics, technical and security logging, and Email Service. Where Cloudflare processes personal data for these services on our behalf, it acts as a processor under its Data Processing Addendum.
Cloudflare and its subprocessors may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where transfer safeguards are required, Cloudflare’s current Data Processing Addendum provides for the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as amended by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, as applicable. Cookies and analytics
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure aggregate traffic and site performance. It is not used for advertising or personalisation. The AI concierge uses temporary session storage for the conversation as described above.
How long information is kept
- The browser’s local chat copy expires after two hours.
- Enquiry correspondence that does not lead to a client relationship is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact.
- Client and contractual records are kept for the relationship and for up to six years after the relationship ends where needed for legal, accounting or tax records.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask us to provide access to your information, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or provide a portable copy where that right applies. These rights are not absolute.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you have the right to object to our processing.
